Frequently asked questions about GSM control

Do I need a telephone line?

No the GSM-AUTO uses the GSM mobile phone network in the same way as a mobile phone

Will it work anywhere?

It will work anywhere in the world where there is a GSM network and the GSM-AUTO can receive a signal

Can it be activated from another country?

It can be activated from anywhere in the world as long as you have access to a telephone

Can anyone activate the GSM-AUTO by calling it?

Yes and no, the GSM-AUTO can work in open access mode whereby it will respond to any call made to it, or secure access mode when it will only respond to authorised numbers

Do I have to use a special SIM card?

No, you can use any networks SIM card

What are the call costs?

The GSM-AUTO uses the mobile phone network and the same as a mobile phone it has a SIM card, when you call the GSM-AUTO it rejects the call without answering and switches on the device connected to it so there are no call costs incurred. When the GSM-AUTO is initially programmed it sends a confirmation sms text message and this will be charged at your network operators rate. A T-Mobile pre-pay (pay as you go) SIM card is supplied so there are no monthly network charges

Do I have to use a mobile phone to activate the GSM-AUTO?

No it can be activated using a landline

What is the cost of the GSM unit and the instillation cost?

The GSM unit costs in the regen of £230 to £??? depending on GSM unit and the
